Dear Caplicki Family,
Please accept my condolences. Pauline was a wonderful woman,a hard worker, and a contagiously positive person to be around. As you might expect, I spend a lot of free time before, during and after school hanging around the cafeteria, and the "ladies" really became my second family. I smiled upon reading your description of her laugh in the obit. It was that laugh that came to mind first as I reflected on those great memories. I can also tell you that my mom thought the world of Pauline, and considered herself blessed to have known her for so many years, both as an employee and a friend. As you may know, Betty has been Elant for nearly 2 months, and it was my good fortune to be able to re-connect with your mom there. We shared dinner tables a few times, and had some brief but delightful chats in the corridors of PAFF 2. As you might have expected, it didn't take much prompting to get her to bring me up to speed on each member of your family. Clearly, she was immensely proud of you all, and with good reason. I feel so fortunate to have spend some quality time with her at Elant, and will, like so many others, treasure the fond memories I have of her. She was quite a lady. Best wishes to you all. Ed and the rest of the family, so sorry to hear of Pauline's passing. I can still hear her cackle to this day, so many memories growing up in the neighborhood. I'll never forget Ted and his drum making surprise visits in the early morning hours. Pauline enjoyed life to the fullest and we all are better people for it. Take time to grieve but remember all of the good times you shared with her as well. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Bob & Harriet Murray
