To the family of John,
I knew John for
40 years. I met him when I moved to Goshen. I was one of the nursing supervisors at Arden Hill. When his mom was sick in the ICU, he would call ahead and ask if he could sneak in. I told him he did not have to sneak in He could come and visit her anytime. John was one of the kindest and gentlest people I knew. If he responded to the needs of the hospital, I knew and trusted that things would be safe again. Professionally, he served our country and the people of Goshen with pride. Shortly after, I moved to Goshen my apartment was robbed, it was John who responded and assured me I would be safe and the robbers would be caught and prosecuted. Indeed, it was true. As our careers grew professionally and our families grew, our paths crossed intermittently. He had told me about his illness at a healing Mass about three years ago. I am so sorry to read of your loss. I know John fought the good fight, and has finished the race. John has found rest for his labors and his good works will accompany him. He is in the loving arms of the Lord. I am going to try to come to the wake and Mass. However, I am working and am going to try and get someone to cover for me. If I am unable to attend, please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. May memories comfort you during this difficult time. God bless you all!
Sincerely,
Peggy Emond
