Obituary of Edward Mullins

Edward (Moon) Mullins, Sr.,82, formally of South Blooming Grove, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at  Phelps Hospital, Sleepy Hollow NY.  

Edward was born March 13, 1941, in the Bronx NY, The son of Joseph and Lillian Mullins.  

Edward Served in the US Navy from 1959-1963 on the USS Ethan Allen, and earned his good conduct medal. He went on to work at Con Edison as a Machinist for many years in the Bronx before retiring. He was a former member of The South Blooming Grove Fire Department, Joseph Duelk, Jr, Ancient Order of Hibernians, division 1, Orange County as well as the Newburgh Yacht Club.  

He is survived by his wife Linda and his children, Janice Oppman, Edward Mullins Jr., Charles Mullins, Daniel Mullins and wife Pamela. He also leaves lovingly behind his Grandchildren, Jason Oppman, Madison Mullins, Matthew Mullins and Jillian Mullins, Great grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews and lots extended family and friends.  

Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Lillian Mullins, siblings Joseph Mullins, Thomas Mullins, Dorothy Heath, and James Mullins.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 19 from 4 to 8 PM at Donovan Funeral Home, 82 S church St., Goshen NY. 

The funeral will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Donovan Funeral Home 82 S church St., Goshen NY. Burial with military honors will follow in the Orange County Veteran’s Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
