Joseph J. Peterson, 68 of Campbell Hall died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Orange Regional Medical Center-Arden Hill Campus, Goshen.
Joseph was born January 20, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY the son of John and Mary (Burns) Peterson. He was the husband of Sandra M. Seabury.
Joseph served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959; he was a retired School Teacher for the Washingtonville Central School District, a member of St. Johns Council Knights of Columbus and a retired member of NYSUT-New York State United Teachers.
He is survived by his wife: Sandra Peterson at home; 4 sons, Richard J. Peterson of Islip, NY, Robert Peterson and wife Dina of Virginia, Thomas Peterson of Campbell Hall, and Philip Peterson and wife Michelle Rosen of Brooklyn; 3 daughters, Mary Stevens and husband Richard of Middletown, Katherine Peterson-Lyle and husband Roger of Pulteney, NY and Jacqueline Sen and husband Sundeep of Houston, TX; adopted daughter, Ariana; brother, Robert Peterson of Huntington, NY; and 17 grandchildren, Joshua, Cassandra, Jason, Bryan, Curtis, David, Nicholas, Brittaney, Katrina, Katherine, Lauren, Christian, Victoria, Samantha, Emily, Matthew and Sarah.
Visitation will be Monday, January 21, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM & 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, January 22, at 10:00 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen.
Burial will be private.
