Obituary of Grace Campbell

Grace Belote Campbell, passed away on January 3, 2008, she was 84. Grace, formerly a resident of Rancho Mirage California, moved to Goshen in November of 2007 to live with her granddaughter Tawnya Grace and her great grandson Evan Grace. Grace is survived by two children: Lucien Campbell of Phoenix, Arizona and Lucretia Whitfield of Santee, California, six grandchildren: Scott Campbell of Portland, Oregon, Brian Campbell of Portland, Oregon, Tawnya Grace of Goshen, Cristyn Madley of Wycoff, NJ, Tabitha Woodward of Santee, CA, Levi Kipp of Santee, Ca, 11 great grandchildren, and her two cats Josephine and Tiger. Born Grace Belote Consolvo, in Norfolk, Virginia, she was raised a southern belle and danced on Broadway in NYC when she was 16. Grace met her husband, who predeceased her in 2001, Lucien David Campbell, when he served in the armed forces in Virginia. They were married after eight dates and spent 58 years together, and were very much in love. Grace was cremated and her ashes will be buried with her husbands in the Veterans cemetery in California. There will be a memorial Visitation for friends and family on Saturday January 19th from 2 to 4 pm at Donovan Funeral Home, 82 S. Church Street, Goshen, NY 10924. Father Carl Lunden of St. James Episcopal Church, Goshen, NY will preside at the Memorial Service at 3pm. at the Funeral Home. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Goshen Humane Society and mailed to The Town of Goshen at P.O. Box 217, Goshen, NY 10924.
