I've watched Erin playing sports against my daughter, Katie, since 7th grade. Erin was an outstanding athlete and passionate competitor. She last met my daughter at the mall over the summer and they spoke about their plans for college. She was a genuine young lady. Our family is truly saddened by Erin's death. We will remember her always. Our prayers are with you.

I remember I first met Erin in, I believe, third or fourth grade. I remember she was a new student. The first thing I learned about her was that we shared the same birthday, December 5th, 1988. Then, one day she played football with me and the other guys at recess. She was one of the best ones to play and quickly became a "regular" for recess football. I'll never forget how upset the other boys would get because the girl was picked before they were. Erin was always a good sport about it and would never let it get the best of her. The summer going into fifth grade I moved to Minisink and lost contact with Erin but i would always read about her in the sports section on how great she was doing in basketball or soccer and it would bring me back to those intermediate school recess football games. I will always remember Erin's smile and positive outlook on everthing. My prayers are with the family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know Erin.
