We sure raised a lot of hell when we were at Lloyds and always had a good time. He was a fun guy to be with, especially at the roller rink. I have so many memories of all the fun times our gang had. Though I did not care for Mr. Deserto long, it was clear to me the caliber of man he was by the great love his family and friends expressed. Mr. Deserto's courage, and his loving family's concern for his dignity and comfort at the end of his life, will not soon leave my memory, and will remind me of the importance of humanity in the practice of medicine.
