Obituary of Herta Wojtko

Herta Knetsch Helen Wojtko Herta Knetsch Helen Wojtko, age 77, of Goshen passed away peacefully just before sundown Feb. 4, 2007, surrounded by her loving family at her bedside in Park Manor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Middletown. Mrs. Wojtko was born July 19, 1929 in Marzdorf, Germany, the daughter of the late Paul and Berta (Kubitza) Knetsch. She lived at Burt Farms in Warwick, NY for the past nine years. After emigrating from Germany in 1952 she resided in Passaic and Bergen Counties, NJ. She was employed by Chestnut Hill Nursing Home, Passaic, NJ as a Nurses Aide. She is survived by her daughter Marianne Wojtko Maerz and husband Glenn; daughter, Catherine Wojtko Narvaez and husband Efrain. Her greatest pride and joy was being Oma to her seven grandchildren, Sabine, David, Melanie, Kaylee, Haley, Shannon and Efrain, Jr.; Also survived by her dear brother, Gunter Knetsch his wife Christa and niece Karin Lothring of Nurnberg, Germany; great-niece Jasmin of Berlin, Germany; half-sisters, Hilda Kura and Else Born of Germany. Predeceased by a half-sister, Erika Stotmeister. May the spring that you so loved and looked forward to be eternal where you are, dear Mother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Feb. 08, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, Internment will follow in Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown.
