Dear Fran,
We just read about Don's passing and were so saddened by it. Please accepts of heartfelt condolences. Though we only knew Don as a neighbor, we admired his friendly attitude, energy and determination. It was always inspiring to see him working around your home repairing, planting, or devising some deer deterrent. We will miss him.

Don and I met during our years as members of the Hudson Valley Optometric Society.
He was older than I and an icon for me as I built my practice in Monroe,NY.
I attended the memorial yesterday and it was a fitting and beautiful service.
May his memory be as a blessing to us all.

Don was my first cousin but was 13 years older than I. Consequently our paths didn't cross often. But I remember certain events such as his return from war, his graduation from college, his marriage to Fran, and some of their return trips to Berne to visit Grandma and Grandpa Reusser. Pat and I extend our deepest condolences to Fran and her family. May God bless and keep them.

The Croswell's were neighbors and have been very close friends for 60 years. He was a good man and the community and the world were better because of him. We will remember his sense of humor, creativity, work ethic, and friendship. Our prayers and love reach out to the family.
