PATRICIA JOHNSTON January 3, 2015 Goshen, NY - Formerly of Blooming Grove, NY Patricia Johnston of Goshen, NY, formerly of Blooming Grove, passed away on January 3rd, 2015 at Orange Regional Medical Center; Middletown, NY surrounded by her loving family. She was 87 years old. Patricia was the daughter of late Robert and Mary Cotter Ambrose. She happily married the late Federick L. Johnston on April 7, 1956. She was employed by Washingtonville School District as a School Bus Driver. Patricia's last residency was at Elant Adult Home; Harriman Drive, Goshen, NY. She was a Parishoner of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Washingtonville, NY and St. John's The Evangelist Church in Goshen; former member of the FISH Organization of Blooming Grove, NY and a former member of The Ladies Auxillary of South Blooming Grove Fire Department. Suriving members of her family are children: Maura DuMoulin and her husband, Todd of Cornwall, NY, Jane Butler and her husband, Greg of Rock Tavern, NY, Mark Johnston and his wife, Linda of Goshen, NY, and Stephen Johnston and his wife, Liz of Campbell Hall, NY. She is survived by her nine grandchildren: Monique Santoro and her husband, Evan, Amy Milano and fiance, Brandon Smith, Cory Johnston, Jacquie Marino and her husband, Joseph, Jake Butler and fiance, Casey Gregory, Marlee Johnston, Olivia Johnston, Anna Johnston, Leigh Tannous and her husband, Henry. Patricia was also survived by her brother, George Ambrose and his wife, Theresa; her sister, Johanna "Bobbie" Merz and her husband, Robert; her sister, Sister Jane Frances Ambrose; her step-brother, Maurice Howard, and many loved nieces and nephews. Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Fred Johnston; her brother, Daniel "Donald" Ambrose, and her sister-in-law, Johanna "Joan" Ambrose. Patricia's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Elant Adult Home and Glen Arden for all their kindness. Pat, along with her beloved husband, Fred devoted thier lives to raising their children. To know Pat was to love her because of her kindness and devotion to her family and friends. Pat was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6th at Donovan Funeral Home in Goshen, NY. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday January 7th at St. Mary's Church, Washingtonville, NY. Burial will be at Hamptonburgh Cemetery in Campbell, NY.
