Obituary of George Betz

George Edwin Betz, "ACE" former long time resident of Ellenville and Goshen, NY passed away November 27, 2014 in Buffalo, NY. He was born on May 14, 1925 in Ellenville, NY the son of Louise Huff Betz and George H. Betz. He is predeceased by his wife, Lois McCombs Betz and dear friend, Jean Rowe. . His is survived by a daughter, Lydia Betz Green of Buffalo, three grandchildren, Amy Green of Nashville, TN, Sarah (Christopher) Helms of Denver, CO. and Daniel Green of Los Angeles, CA, nieces and nephew and their families. He worked at VAW for many years in Ellenville. He was a proud WW II veteran and a member of the America Legion Post 0111and VFW 7234 and the Knights of Columbus.. He was a Yankee fan and a avid reader of American history. Visitation hours will be at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, N.Y. on Tuesday December 2, 2014 From 6-8 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday December 3, 2014 at St. John's the Evangelist Church, Murray Avenue, Goshen, New York at 10:00 A.m. .
