Edward P. Van Doran, 47, of Goshen entered into rest, surrounded by his wife and children Monday, May 13, 2013 at home after a long and courageous battle.
Edward was born March 4, 1966 in Bronx, NY, the son of Robert and Mary (Wassell) Van Doran. He was the husband of Felicia Ferrara Van Doran.
Ed was retired from the Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers, Local 12. He enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He was a past President and coach of the Goshen Little League and the Goshen Storm. He loved spending his free time watching and coaching baseball. He was an avid fan of both the Giants and the Mets.
Ed is survived by his wife Felicia Van Doran at home; 3 sons, Stephen, Joseph and Paul Van Doran of Goshen; brothers, Walter Van Doran of Greenwood Lake, Robert Van Doran and wife Margaret of Hicksville, Michael Van Doran of Greenwood Lake, James Van Doran of Greenwood Lake, Stephen Van Doran of Greenwood Lake, and Christopher Van Doran and wife Dawn of Greenwood Lake; sisters, Annmarie Sabarese and husband Daniel of Greenwood Lake, Mary Cabezal and husband Edward of Greenwood Lake, Ellen Rampe and husband Christopher of Warwick; many nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends, Robert and Virginia Buttner of Highland Mills, NY.
Ed was predeceased by his parents, and brother, Thomas Van Doran.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM & 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
The Funeral will be held on Friday, May 17 at 10:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Goshen, 33 Park Pl., Goshen, NY with the Reverend David Kingsley officiating. Burial will follow in Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, NY.
