JOHN ROBERT FLANNERY
FEBRUARY 13, 1950 - JANUARY 13, 2009
John Robert Flannery, 58, of Rock Tavern died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Westchester County Medical Center, Valhalla, NY.
John was born February 13, 1950 in Goshen, NY the son of Ann C. Flannery and the Late John A. Flannery.
John graduated Washingtonville High School in 1968 and attended SUNY Delhi; he was the Owner and General Contractor of Flannery Construction, Inc, Rock Tavern, NY; a former member of South Carolina Home Builders Association and NYS Builders Association; and was general contractor on Hilton Head Island, Sc for many years.
His loving family includes his wife: Linda G. Flannery at home; mother, Ann C. Flannery of Rock Tavern, NY; daughters, Chelsey G. Flannery of Salem, MA, Bridget A. Flannery of Rock Tavern; sister, Susan Moore and husband Jerry of Saratoga, NY; brothers, Dennis Flannery of Kerhonkson, Kevin Flannery of Hilton Head, SC, Patrick Flannery of Rock Tavern, Christopher Flannery of Chester; mother-in-law, Edythe D. Gray of New Windsor; nephews, William Moore and wife Christina, John Moore and wife Maggie; niece, Amy Kelly and husband Brendan along with being a Great Uncle to Justin, Cetera, Collin, Lena and Mackenzie. John had many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins as well as his extended family of friends, colleagues and extreme tailgaters all whom he enjoyed so much.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 18, 2009 from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The funeral will be Monday at 10:00 am at Church Of The Assumption, Homestead Ave., Maybrook where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated.
Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY.
