Obituary of Carl S. Mollo

Carl S. Mollo entered into rest on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Valley View Center for Nursing Care & Rehab, Goshen, NY. He was born December 16, 1923, the son of the late Frank and Teresa Mollo, in Pittsburgh, PA.
Carl married Anne "Miriam" Gasser on November 8, 1952, who predeceased him in June 2010. They resided in Valley Stream, NY for many years, before moving to Highland Mills, NY in 2000.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his four children, Mark (Lorraine) Mollo of White Plains, NY, Patricia (John) Meisner of Bernardstown, MA; Irlianna Samsara of Mount Dora, Fl.; and Laura (Brian) Krasinski of New Hampton, NY; 7 grandchildren; Drew, Mackenzie, John, Alex, Katie, Sarah, Amanda and Mary; sisters, Clare (Charles) Di Benedetto of Huntington, NY , and Wanda Vargas of Nice, France ; many nieces & nephews who loved their Uncle Carl; brother-in-law, Robert(Betty) Gasser of Shelburne, VT., and sister-in-law Joyce Gasser of Huntington, NY.; He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Sawhny, and brothers-in-law, Charles Gasser, Juan Vargas, James DiBenedetto and Reginald Sawnhy.
The Family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Nurse Care Manager Randy Morse and the Homestead Unit Nursing staff at Valley View for the outstanding care provided to our father since 2006
Visitation will be Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, November 12 at 11:00 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial will follow in Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Carl's name to Valley View Nursing and Rehabilitation, PO Box 59, Glenmere Cove Road, Goshen, NY 10924. or to a charity of one's choice
