Obituary of Nancy T. Nowak

Nancy T. Nowak, 70, of Goshen passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at ORMC in Middletown, NY. Nancy was born August 25, 1941 in the Bronx, NY. She was the daughter of Sigurd and Trudie (Jensen) Bertelsen. She retired in 2009 as a Teacher at Goshen High School and was a member of the Heart of the Hudson Girl Scout Council. Nancy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandsons. She cherished her time spent at Goshen High School working with her friends and students. She loved crafts, quilting and stained glass. Nancy will be missed by all. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Neidig and husband Chris of Matamoras, PA; and their son, Andrew Neidig; daughter, Karen Brock and husband Drew of Goshen and their two sons, Jake and Austin; sister, Carole Carney of NJ; brother, Thomas Bertelsen and wife Janet of CT; niece, Susan Lohr; nephews, Brian and Erik Carney; Tommy and Steven Bertelsen and her beloved cousins. Visitation will be Sunday, October 30 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 1 in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. Memorial donations may be made in Nancy's name to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
