Helen F. Rueckert, 77, of Rock Tavern, NY died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Orange Regional Medical Center-Arden Hill Campus, Goshen, NY.
Helen was born March 10, 1934 in Campbell Hall, NY, the daughter of Arthur J. and Helen C. (Cahill) Fitzgerald.
She was Co-owner of Rueckert Business Machines, a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Maybrook, the Hamptonburgh Seniors, the Catholic Daughters of America (former Grand Regent of the Court Association #690) and member of the Church of the Assumption, Maybrook, NY.
Helen loved her family and always welcomed everyone into her home with open arms and an open heart - making it a gathering place throughout her lifetime. She will be missed.
She is survived by her husband, John J. Rueckert at home; children, Helen G. Rueckert of Montgomery, Elizabeth M. Rueckert of Montgomery, John J. Rueckert and wife Barbara Jean of Moorpark, CA, Michael J. Rueckert and wife Laura of Goshen, and Joan E. Rueckert of Goshen; sister, Katherine Fitzgerald and Joseph Majowicz of Campbell Hall, brother, John Fitzgerald and wife Joan of Newburgh, NY; 4 grandchildren, Allyson, Jesse, William and Michael Rueckert; many beloved nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Ginger.
She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Gramm and brother, William M. Fitzgerald
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27 from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
The funeral will be held 10:30 am on Thursday, April 28 at St. John The Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen,, NY.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Montgomery, NY.
