I am sorry to hear about Mr. Clancy's passing. I have fond memories of fifth grade with Mr. Clancy in 1962. I appeared the first day of class with a broken wrist and anytime I would see him in my adult years, he would mention the broken wrist. All the McBride children were lucky to have experienced Mr. Clancy as our 5th grade teacher. I also worked with him at Key Bank and enjoyed conversing with him often. Memories are a wonderful thing and the fond ones I have of him will stay for ever

My sincere sympathy to the family of Mr. Clancy, my fifth grade teacher. I remember him so well as a quiet, gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor and a profound dedication to his profession. I also remember fondly his portrayal of Yellow Feather in the teachers' production of "Little Mary Sunshine"--a delight to his former students, and a role he obviously relished.

I've known the Clancy family my entire life, a family that is honest, genuine and loving. Jack was a wonderful father, an inspirational teacher and, from the stories I've been told, one hilarious man! While I'm saddened by the loss of such a great character and pure person, I know that he will live on through his children and all of those that he has shared his wisdom with. He will be missed but never forgotten, grieved but never lost.

My first memories of Mr. Clancy date back more than 50 years when I would regularly see him and Mrs. Clancy at St. John's Church in Goshen where I grew up. The Clancys are a wonderful family, true pillars of Goshen. With heartfelt sadness, I note Mr. Clancy's passing. As he joins the heavenly community, I offer my condolences and best wishes to his family.

I had the pleasure of working with your husband, father for many years in the Goshen School system. Jack's infectious personality was wonderful, he was always upbeat and a real joy to work with. Unfortunately, after he retired I did not stay in contact but I really enjoyed my years of teaching side by side with your dad and husband. I know that he will be missed greatly by his family as you were the most important thing in his life. So sorry for your loss.

Thinking of Jack brings up so many smiles as we remember stories that transport us back in years. Little League coach, rooting for the Phillies, attending Yankee games with a last minute phone call that John Martin had tickets, studying Gaelic in preparation for the trip to Ireland, knowing that our children would be taught by a wonderful teacher... Jack exemplifies all that is good from our wonderful little village that we proudly call our home town. Our prayers are with you.

Our deepest sympathy to all of the Clancy family. Words can't truly express what a wonderful man Jack was. His values and morals so fittingly represent that generation who made so many sacrifices for the love of his country, neighbors, and family. As my teacher, neighbor, friend and mentor, he ment so much to my entire family. I am sure he is at peace and his memory will never be forgotten by anybody whose life he touched. Take solace in knowing that he was an exceptional man who gave so much to our little village. Love to you all, Bill & Alice Sprague
