Joseph Gaudino, 88, of Campbell Hall died peacefully at home on Thursday, March 17, 2011.
He was born October 21, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Adolfo and Mary (D'Amico) Gaudino. He and Rose Ferraro Gaudino were married on April 30, 1950 and celebrated 60 years of happy marriage last year.
Joseph served as a Tech Sergeant in the Army Corp of Engineers during World War II in both Europe and the Pacific. He was an Industrial Mechanical Supervisor at GAF Corporation in Vails Gate, NY. He was one of the Founding Members of the Hudson Valley Christian Church and Boy Scout leader.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Gaudino at home; two sons, Edward J. Gaudino of New York, NY and Leonard J. Gaudino of Campbell Hall; a sister, Gloria McMaster of Campbell Hall; 2 grandchildren, Lauren Meadows and her husband Jonah of Chicago and Steven Gaudino of Houston, TX; and many nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his 3 brothers-in-law and his sister-in-law.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 19 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
The funeral will be held 1:30 pm on Sunday, March 20 at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY with Pastor Ron Truncali officiating.
Burial will follow in Hamptonburgh Cemetery, Campbell Hall, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hudson Valley Christian Church, 100 Grand Street, Newburgh, NY 12550 or Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
