Doug is the biggest & brightest STAR in the sky tonight.
Born in Brooklyn NY to the late Irving Coulter & Margaret (Adamitis) Coulter. He moved to Middletown NY in 1955.
Doug worked for the Town Of Wallkill for 35 years. Retired as Forman & Head Mechanic for the Bus Garage & Town of Wallkill police cars.
Married on December 31,1977 to the love of his life Karen ( Fritz ) for 46 years
The running joke was that he wouldn't forget our anniversary plus he got to claim me for the year. Doug was owner with Karen of Codokas Dog Training for over 30 years.
He showed his Golden Retrievers in Obedience, Rally, Agility, Lure Coursing & Fast Cat. Always in the ribbons.
Co founder & President of the K-Nine Bandaiders Therapy Dogs Group. Was a Tester/Observer for ATD Alliance Of Therapy Dogs.

Survived by his wife Karen. Son Keith Coulter of Bloomingburg, NY, Daughter Lori Eisloeffe of Montgomery, NY, Brother in Law Richard Fritz & Sister In Law Melissa of Glen Spey NY. Grandson Brian Coulter & Fiancé Jen Toomes of Campbell Hall, NY, Great Grand Daughter Erin Coulter of Campbell Hall, NY - Who brought him Love, Joy & Laughter. Grandson Andy Coulter of Bloomingburg, NY, Nephews Brent & Derian Fritz of Glen Spey, NY. His Golden Retriever & Best Bud Clark, Golden Retriever & His Girl Cloud, His little walking buddy Brittany Spaniel Tehya.
We would like to thank the staff at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, Newburgh, NY & The Doctors & Staff at Gamet Health Medical Center.
Memorial service will be held on June 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Family Of Faith Lutheran Church, 240 Midland Lakes Road, Middletown, NY 10941. After the service there will be a Celebration of Life.
In honor of Doug please dress in jeans, tee shirt or anything denim. Anyone who knew Doug he was always in jeans, tee shirt & a wrangler shirt
