Best wishes to all the Masker family. I was fortunate enough to work with Jim for many years He was a great colleague and friend. He is the best of us , clever, dedicated and always ready for a laugh. He will be greatly missed.

I didn't recognize what Ramsey had in this javelin thrower Jim Masker. The javelin was just coming into being in Bergen County track and field. I could have used an experienced javelin coach. But Jim was terrific, think he still holds the Ramsey High School javelin record. But he was an even nicer guy. Seemed to have that same temperament through the ups and downs - and there were plenty of them. R.I.P. big guy, you deserve it.

Jim and I met through our kids. It was apparent how great parents Alana and Jim are by their dedication to their children. Jim and I would work out together, but our sessions were more about talking about cooking, family, and sports. I will miss him and think fondly of him as I sip a Beluga Vodka while thinking about his chicken marsala. Much love to Alana and the kids.. Maybe Colin and I can work out together so I can fell what it's like to be humbled in the gym by a Masker... Again.

Over the years, I was blessed to have Jim as a friend and extended family member. His advice was always spot on, his kindness was genuine, and he was true to who he was. My heart goes out to Alanna (my big sister), her kids, and the extended Masker family. This photo was at my wedding...I was blessed to have Alanna, Jim and Brynn join us in Miami.
