Maryann was so caring, interesting and thoughtful but also great fun to have as a friend. We met though a mutual love of the music of Van Morrison. In 2019 she came over to England to stay with me. The week was joyful with a full on programme of Maryann type activities which were often Van related in some way. We searched for white horses in the limestone hills, visited mystical stone circles and neolithic sites. We failed to find a crop circle but we gathered wild mushrooms and she taught me how to use water divining rods! She really enjoyed the exhibition at Tate Britain of the visionary William Blake and we saw The Alfred Jewel in The Ashmolean museum which featured in her favourite British TV show - The Detectorists. The week culminated in a trip to the South Coast to enjoy a Van Morrison concert with other fans.
So grateful to have had that time with her and I send my condolences to her family and friends.
