Obituary of Patrick O'Malley

Patrick Joseph O’Malley of Goshen, NY, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2023.  He was 91 years old.

Patrick was born on March 16, 1932, in Manhattan, NY, the son of Austin and Julia O’Malley.  He served in the US Navy on the USS Brownson from 1952-1955.  Patrick graduated from NYU with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He originally worked at the Federal Reserve Bank and then moved to CitiBank in New York, where he worked as a Bank Manager for 33 years.   Patrick was a long-time resident of Chestnut Ridge, NY before moving to Goshen, NY.  He loved spending time with his family, watching sports on TV, and “picking the ponies”.

Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Joan, his children, Stella and her husband Kenneth Carlton of Barnegat, NJ and Patrick A. O’Malley and his wife Patricia of Goshen, NY; four grandchildren, Kenneth Carlton, Jr. and his wife Melissa and their children, Cassandra and Mason; Patrick W. O’Malley and his wife Alicia, Samantha O’Malley and Austin O’Malley.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 5-8 PM at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist RC Church, 71 Murray Avenue, Goshen, NY.

Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
