I am so sorry for your family's loss. I never met Mrs. Whittaker, but I wish I had. She raised a wonderful son in Joseph. We worked together for years at Hannibal High School. If it's any indication of her kindness, it shows in Joe's behavior. His thoughtfulness and kindness has to be handed down from his mom. She was very special to him. I know he called her daily and through the years, his many dogs "spoke to her", as well. They all looked forward to those conversations. His concern for her was real, and he always worried for her. That shows his love for his mom. As I told Joe, there is a special place in heaven for moms, and I know Mrs. Whittaker is at peace and in the loving arms of our Lord. Mom also enjoyed going to all the family Pieri & Laudiero picnics at Great Grandpa & Great Grandma Laudiero's house on Catherine Street in Nyack, New York. One of my favorite family photo's Mom is standing just behind Great Grandpa Laudiero who is sitting alongside Great Grandma. Great Italian food & great fun playing with all our cousins.

Mom Loved Lilacs & Lavender, Mom also loved her dolls. Here is a photo of a memorial plaque I made of Grandma & Grandpa Pieri's house I engraved in front of Lilacs grown from cuttings from their house. Mom & Dad brought cuttings up to me 39 or more years ago from cuttings they had gotten & grown.
