Obituary of Maureen F. Carroll

Maureen F. Carroll, 81, of Middletown died peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Garnet Health Medical Center, Middletown, NY. She came out of retirement to tell God how to run things. Maureen was born July 28, 1941, in Mount Vernon, NY, the daughter of Thomas F. Bergin, Sr. and Mildred (Sherman) DeLeonardis. She was the widow of James W. Carroll, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Louis A. Coppeto of Middletown, NY and Thomas J. Coppeto of Boston, MA; a brother, Thomas F. Bergin, Jr., of Tarrytown, NY; two grandchildren, Nicholas Robinson and Louis A. Coppeto III of Owego, NY; step-children, James W. Carroll, Jr. (Debbie) of Wilmington, NC; Elizabeth "Beth" Toombs (Philip) of Dutchess County, NY, Veronica Harrison (Eric) of Mecklenburg County, NC, Daniel Carroll (Melissa) of Morrisville NC, Richard Carroll (Caitlin) of Sullivan County, NY; 9 step-grandchildren; and 3 nieces. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The Funeral Service with be in the funeral home on Friday, March 17, at 10 am. Burial will follow in the Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
