Hi, I just wanted to reach out and offer my condolences. Truly sorry to hear about Mrs. Skotzko's passing away. I was a friend of Dan Skotzko growing up and have fond memories of being over at the house on occasion. Mrs. Skotzko was a truly great human being. Now, although I am almost 41 years old, I still must call her Mrs. Skotzko, just as I did when I sat in her classroom in First Grade so many years ago. I truly feel like she was a person who molded me (at an early age) to be the person I am today. Of course, Dan remains one of my best friends today, and my thoughts and prayers go out to him and his entire family in this time of mourning. God Bless.

I volunteered in Mrs. Skotzko's class 21 years ago. She was gracious enough to allow me to bring my young daughter along and I would help some of the children with schoolwork. I always admired her professionalism and knowledge, but especially loved the way she could put an outfit together! Not only was she an outstanding educator, but also an impeccable dresser and that is how I will always remember Sophie. Our deepest sympathy.

I wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. Even though I did not know Sophie personally, I know what its like to lose someone you love. Comfort can come from knowing God cares about the pain we feel. Psalms 56:8 says He collects all our tears and preserves them in his bottle and records everyone in his book. He promises to swallow up death and wipe away all the tears from our faces. (Isaiah 25:8) It is my wish you will find comfort and hope from these thoughts in the Bible.
