We as a family have only the warmest memories of Jyll, Sonny and their family. Whether it was watching Kelly and our girls on the soccer field, or dropping off our daughter for a sleep over, Jyll embraced all who knew her with her trademark enthusiasm. She treated everyone with kindness, humor and friendliness. As a bookstore owner she gave everyone she knew the "Family Discount", so much so, that our daughter Jesse, who was lucky enough to work for Jyll, often reminded her that most were NOT 'family' This never mattered much to Jyll!.
We are so saddened to hear of her passing, and send our deepest sympathy to all of her children, grandchildren and her many friends. She was a person who made living in Goshen the special place it is. She will be sorely missed. Rest in peace, dear Jyll.

Jyll Fox will always be remembered as the most wonderful woman who cared for anyone she knew. Personally, she was a major influence on my life in the most positive ways possible. While I write this in sadness, I have peace knowing she is with Mr. Sonny Fox in heaven. My deepest sympathy to the entire Fox family who is like family to me.

I was saddened to learn that Jyll had passed. About 20+ years ago, Jill and I ran a Crohn’s and UC support group together. She was the loveliest woman, so full of humor and compassion. I have thought about her many times over the years. What a great lady she was. Prayers for the entire family and community she impacted.

I am very sorry for your loss. Jyll and Sonny became good friends with my husband, Dave, and I in the good old days of Maybrook. We lost track of one another over the years which I regret. She was a very special friend. We had some wonderful conversations which helped me.
Rest in peace my friend.

My deepest sympathy on the death of your mom. Jyll was the kindest and most generous person I knew. When mom owned the book store, she would give books away. We met @Saturday Morning basketball. Mom had you three in tow. Right away we became friends. God Rest her soul, she’s with your dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all the family. Love Noreen Carberry

Jyll was my sister. I have so many wonderful memories of her genuine love for us all. One I will never forget was when I was 5 and in kindergarten, and she was 6 in first grade. I cried every day, and sometimes ran home. The teachers decided that Jyll should leave her first grade class to come sit with me to soothe me each day, at least until nap time. She did that. I was able to make it through kindergarten and pass into first grade that year. In spite of caring for me, Jyll was able to skip from first grade directly to fourth grade. That was not the last time Jyll sat with me while I cried. She was always there to comfort me and guide me, especially after our mom died when we were 16 and 17. She was the embodiment of love.

My love and prayers go out to all who loved Jyll. She was a lovely human and was so kind and welcoming always. I had the honor of knowing her as Patty’s college buddy. I spent many weekends as a Fox House Guest and they always made me feel like family. Jylll has left a legacy of love, friendship and family. May she find Sonny waiting for her with his arms wide open and a smile that shines the way.

this picture was in 1967 - Jyll looked so beautiful in blue - being part of Wendy's wedding was a thrill - like being a princess. Jyl had a fabulous smile, gave great hugs, and was easy to talk to. I regret not seeing her as much as could have. We live in AZ, Jyll in NY. Hope Jyll is with the rest of the family celebrating her arrival. Always thinking about you. I Love You, and always have.
Always your little sister,
Lorrie

Jyll was one of the easiest people to talk to. She could process the things you said in a way that you were not always able to, and help you go see things from a caring, comfortable, and non-judgemental place. She was strong. She was funny. She was loved. We are thinking of the many people who are sad, and who will miss her as much as we will. Mike, Jennifer and Trevor Edwards
