Dorothy Kathleen Boiano (nee Hosford), age 70, of Largo, FL passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Woodside Hospice of Pinellas Park, FL after a courageous battle with cancer. Dorothy was born in Bennington, VT to the Late Leonard Hosford and the Late Kathleen (Phillips) Hosford.
Dorothy was retired from Reynolds/Alcoa/Ball Aluminum. She worked in many facets of the company and was dearly loved for her compassion, friendliness and above all, her sense of humor which she maintained until the end.
Dotty is survived by her loving husband, Angelo, son Michael and grandson Anthony. She is also survived by two brothers, James Hosford and wife Susan of Mahopac, NY, William Hosford and partner Robert Murphy of Floral Park, NY, two sisters Mary Kitson and husband John of Chester, NY and Patricia Brennan and husband James of Bronx, NY. She is pre-deceased by her two brothers John (Jackie) and Thomas. Dotty is also survived by sister-in-law Jane Hosford and loving nieces and nephews, John & James Kitson, Patricia Nelson, Kathleen Andryshak, Ann Hennig, Christine Basinski, Jennifer Rudsinski, Matthew Hosford, James, Marianne, Joseph and Daniel Brennan, James, Jr. and Meaghan Hosford.
Visitation Hours will be at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc. 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. On Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM and Sunday February 21, 2010 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John's Evangelist Church, 71 Murray Ave., Goshen, NY at 10:30 on Monday February, 22,2010.Burial will be held after the Mass at Slate Hill Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
