You were the first knock on my door after the girls and I moved to the area. You had a bag full of treats from a local farm welcoming us to the neighborhood. Little did I know on that day how blessed we’d be and how much you would become a part of our family, adopted sister to me and Aunt Lois to my daughters, spending every Christmas Eve with us, enjoying Christmas cookies as we enjoyed your baked Brie and corn pudding! Your teacher spirit gently instructed the girls on the simple and important things in life, you attended school concerts, plays and events with us and helped us train our first dog Cocoa. You and I enjoyed many evenings watching movies, having a glass of wine with some Brie and crackers. From meals together at your house or ours, attending school events, to emergency hospital visits…. You welcomed us with open arms into your life and we are forever grateful for you and the difference you made in ours on this side of heaven. The girls and I are heartbroken over your passing and will miss you. The pandemic and your illness sadly separated us these past two years… but we hold you in our hearts. Christmas Eve will not be the same without you. Love you Lois, Rita

I’m so glad I met you many years ago, when you taught at my son’s preschool. I know you gave him the tools he needed to be where he is today. My son will never forget the love you had for your pups and how you incorporated stories in your teaching. Rest In Peace Ms. Lois ❤️

Thank you Lois for being the best kindergarten teacher to not only my daughter but to hundreds of other young lives. We have fond memories of you and your patient teaching skills. We still make and enjoy the “stone soup” that you made in the class each year and think of you every time we have it. You have an amazing legacy of paving the way to adulthood for so many young, impressionable minds and making the first year of school a wonderful experience. Those are the teachers we remember with affection. Thank you for all that you’ve done.
