I just heard about Tina’s passing. I worked with Tina at the Rowley Family Birthing Center between 2004-2014 when I relocated. Tina was the person who prepared me to take the fetal monitoring course when I first started in Labor & Delivery. She was also instrumental in fighting for the best deals for us nurses between the union and the hospital. My condolences to her family. Audrey Mitchell

I probably met some of Tina's beloved family at the wake for her parents some years ago - but cannot say that I know you or that you know me. I had the privilege of working closely with Tina at the Rowley Family Birthing Center between 2013 and 2017. In fact, Tina was one of the first nurses I met when I toured L&D on my interview. Over the years we became close colleagues, attending numereous conferences together and collaborating on many projects. Because Tina was so much more than "just one of the nurses" on the unit. She was passionate about always making things better and engaged above and beyond what was expected of her. The most meaningful thing I can say is that Tina is whom I would have chosen to care for me or my family members. Wise, compassionate, caring and striving for excellence in all that she did.
I can only imagine the shock & loss you are suffering and wish you comfort - eventually - in memories of just how special Tina was and how lucky we ALL were to have her in our lives.

No words can express the sorrow that is felt amongst the VFW Auxiliary and Post 10804 of Little River, South Carolina.
Tina and Marty were both officers in the VFW Auxiliary. Tina was the Auxiliary Conductress and did a lot to help out Veterans by supporting our fund raising goals and programs. Tina will be sorely missed by all who knew her and she will be in our memory
and prayers. She is in God's hands now and may God keep her in his tender loving care.

Jim and I have so many happy memories with Marty, Tina and their children. From having the kids play together in the early days on Fox Road to our soccer days on the field, we will cherish all our time together. We have lost our best friend, and will never be able to fill the void which she has left us. Tina meant the world to us. For the short three years we have been friends, it seems like we have known her our whole life. She was such a kind, caring, giving person. My sincere sympathy to Tina’s family. We first met over 40 years ago at AHH and working with her on OB was a gift . Tina oriented me and was always a great co-worker and resource as we worked together for a few years. Knowledgeable, caring, kind, sharp, excellent skills are what comes to mind as I remember her. Providing excellent care to mother’s and babies was her top priority.

Words cannot express the feelings we have had since hearing of Tina's passing. Marty and Tina are like family to us here in the N. Myrtle Beach/Longs area. They have both been very involved in support of veterans programs at our VFW Post 10804. Tina could always be depended upon to prepare a special dish or help out whenever asked. They are very dear friends to Karen and me and to so many here in our VFW community.
Tina was called to her heavenly home way too soon. We only can offer these caring thoughts and words of support to Marty and his family. We are hoping for better and brighter days ahead and know that your strength will help you through this difficult time. We are always here for you my friend.
