Obituary of Dorothy V. Kincade

Dorothy V. Kincade, 78, of Fort Pierce, FL formerly of Washingtonville, NY, died peacefully with her family around her on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Dorothy was born October 20, 1943 in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of Wilbur and Dorothy (Deacon) Oswald. She was a bookkeeper for Wayne Beverage, Chester NY and an instructor for Blooming Grove Senior Exercise classes. Dorothy was married for 59 years to the love of her life Frank Kincade and was active in her community. She was a 50 year member of Catholic Daughter's of America, served 8 years on the Washingtonville School Board, taught CCD at St. Mary's for 12 years also serving as the 5th grade curriculum coordinator, was a Den leader for the Cub scouts, was a member of the committee that formed Washingtonville Soccer League, and served as secretary for Worley Heights HOA. Dorothy had a life long love for dance. She was a member of many dancing groups including the Twin River Cloggers and Cornwall Line Dancers. She is survived by her husband, Frank R. Kincade Sr.; Sons Frank Kincade Jr. and wife Christine, Michael(Satch) Kincade and wife Felicia, and Kevin Kincade: Brothers Robert Oswald and wife Virginia and Stephen Oswald and wife Carol; 6 grandchildren, Steve and wife Elizabeth, Thomas, Myles, Shannon, Tyler and Emily; 2 great grandchildren Gavin and Ever. She was predeceased by her son, Kerry Kincade and sister, Patricia Spear. Visitation will be Monday January 24 from 2 to 4 PM & 7 to 9 PM at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. Catholic Daughter's will be holding a prayer service at 330 PM. A mass of Christian Burial to Celebrate her life will be held 11:30 AM on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at St. Mary's R.C. Church in Washingtonville, NY. Burial will be private in the Orange County Veteran's Cemetery, Goshen, NY. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or Orange County Hospice.
