Langdon "Bill" William Peck, 76, of Goshen died Monday, September 6, 2021 in the home he built for their son after a 9 month battle with a rare and aggressive cancer SCLC.
He was born on April 24, 1945 to Raymond and Constance Peck in Baldwinsville, NY. He was raised in Oswego, NY graduated from Oswego Catholic High. He also attained an Associates of Arts degree at SUNY Orange.
He was a proud veteran who served in the US Navy from 1964-1968. He served 2 tours of duty off the shores of Vietnam on the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga. He also served on the USS Kitty Hawk. He was loyal to his country.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Yager Peck, son, Shawn, daughter, Lynn (Steven Hunter) and 12 year old granddaughters, Brooke and Samantha; brother G. Michael Peck of Orlando, FL. Bill left behind 2 sisters-in-law, Beverly Yager Robinson and Regina Yager (Gary) of Deland, FL who he loved as sisters. He sadly left behind his beloved nieces and nephews some of whom he felt like their Dad. They each held a unique spot deep in his heart. Brenda, Rick, Alyssa. Tristyn, Skylor, Enley, Swade, Christie, David, Maya, Tessa, Grace, Joanne, Jovanny, Felix, Anna Sofia, Rosalina, Katie, Randy, Karen , Victoria, Sophia, and Brandon, Noah, Sara , Joshua, Brian, Marie, Catherine, Adam, Thomas, Christina, Ian, and Zach.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ruth and Gerald Yager; sister, Karen Peck; his twin baby nephews, Gerald and James and his recently deceased nephew Matthew.
Bill was a man of his word. A good husband and a loving Dad. The light of his life were his twin granddaughters. They were his passion. He found his joy in their presence. Be it painting rocks, building bird houses or playing archery, he loved them with all he had. Bill loved his friends and his neighbors he was always there for them, as they were for him. He counted each as a blessing. He loved building or rebuilding in his garage and barn, especially when friends would drop in. He's known for his love of Woodstock and his braid.
Bill was the patriach of our family. He was a man of deep faith and a Knights of Columbus member and we loved him deeply and our hearts are broken.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 19 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 7 pm at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
Due to COVID at request of family, Masks & social distancing required by all and please double masks if unvaccinated due to transplant status of family member .
The Funeral Service to Celebrate his life will be held 10:00 am on Monday, September 20, 2021 at St. John The Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY.
Burial will follow in Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Charities close to Bills heart : UNICEF, Save the Children, Shriners & Boys Town.
