Virginia Becker, 90, of Goshen entered into rest on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Park Manor, Middletown, NY.
Virginia was born July 2, 1931 in Manhattan, NY; parents Harry and Margaret Hansen, twin sister Gloria, two brothers, Harry and William. Virginia grew up in Astoria NY. She married Edward Becker and moved to Newburgh NY.
Virginia worked 20+ years at Mid-Orange Correctional Facility, Warwick NY as secretary to the vocational superintendent where she made many strong friendships. She then volunteered 8 years at places including: Goshen Chamber of Commerce, Arden Hill Hospital, Goshen NY and Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown NY.
She is survived by sons: John and Steven Becker, daughter Mary and son-in-law Ivan Nunez. Virginia was blessed with 5 grandsons John E., Wesley, Jason, Oscar, and Alexander, and one great-grandson James Becker.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 12 from 1 to 4 PM at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
The Funeral Service to Celebrate her life will be held 10:00 am on Monday, September 13, 2021 at St. John The Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
