Eileen: Kitty and I send our fondest condolences. Doc was our first look at veterinary medicine,especially cows. He was a great mentor for both of us and particularly me,as he and Bill Johnson had a lot to do as far as me getting into Cornell vet school. You need to think about getting a new little pet companion that will give you as much fun as Maggie did. I'll look forward to seeing you in the office. Dear Mrs. Mueller, we are so very sorry to read about your loss. He was such a wonderful man. I have so many fond memories of when he came to the farm. He was so tall and I was so young. Dear Eileen, I was so sorry to read of Dr. Mueller's passing. I was that little, annoying girl that always had to be in the barn to see him - I wondered why he was so tall!! I know this has been a hard, long road for him, as well as your family. You and I would talk when he was in rehab at the same time as my husband. One summer while I was visiting the Mueller’s Eileen told Herb to get me out of the house. Herb and I visited multiple dairy farms that morning. While we were headed to the next call Herb stopped and I thought he was pointing out some deer in a field. But we were to look at an old barn, really what was on the top of the steeple. Herb pointed to an old weather vane that he had his eye on for years. Herb knew a lot of information about all weather vanes, types, makers, age, and models. He told me he thought about writing a book on vanes: the books name “Herb’s Vanes”. He taught me so much about Vanes, I look for them all the time! KDeitsch
