I worked with Bill at State Police in Monroe when we both were uniformed and then later in the BCI. He was the one of the nicest guys I have known. We have hoisted more than a few beers together with his good friend Harvey Izzo. I extend my condolences to his family and friends. Rest In Peace Billy.

Bill's family and my family go back to when I was born. I have known and respected him a lifetime. Attached is a photo of the Goshen Central High School varsity basketball team 1945-1946 when they won the Class C Sectional Championship. Bill is No. 23 on the top left and my father, Coach G. Glenn Sprague in on the top right. Many years later I had the pleasure of working with Bill in the NYSP. He was a great guy and one of those Goshen kids who always set an example for kids like me. I will surely miss him. Bill Sprague
