My deepest condolences to the O'Keefe family. George was my godfather and I discovered his passing by chance on the Internet today researching our family ancestry. His favorite cousin, my dad, John A. Walsh, Jr., just turned 90 here in Florida. May God bless you all and may Uncle George rest in peace. -- Jane Walsh Rader jane@janerader.com

I worked at the Rockland County Health Department with Mr. O’Keefe. He was such a kind man with a smile for everyone.
I remember that he would write a poem for people who retired or moved on. Special person!

My condolences to the family at this very difficult time. Our loving Heavenly Father promises to help you with your grief. “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; he saves those who are crushed in spirit”. —Psalms 34:18, 19.

I am happy to learn Mr. O’Keefe lived a long life! He was a great individual- smart, humble, more than decent, with compassion and a sense of humor and a lot of common sense. He hired me, and I enjoyed working for him. It’s a year now that he is gone; my condolences, still, to the Family. -Catherine Quinn
