We will forever remember our grandfather as a genuine exemplar of the greatest generation, a resolute patriarch who gave so much to so many, and a grandfather who regularly dispensed wisdom and extolled the virtues that he saw in others, while often downplaying the heroism he demonstrated throughout his life. Thank you for all the good you have done for our family, community, state, and nation; you will be deeply missed, but the lessons we have learned from you will live on.
