EVELYN M. (McGauley) GLYNN January 20, 1931 – December 11, 2018 Goshen, NY Evelyn M. Glynn, 87, of Goshen, died peacefully December 11, 2018 at home. Evelyn was born January 20, 1931 in New York City, the youngest of nine children to James and Mary McGauley. Always the leading lady, Evelyn brought joy to countless people who watched her perform on stages on Broadway and throughout the country. A proud member of Actor's Equity, she was particularly dedicated to children's theater and toured with the National Theatre Copany and Yates Children Theatre Company. Locally she could be seen often gracing the stages of Wayne (NJ) Musical Theatre, Paterson (NJ) Lyric Opera, Elmwood Playhouse (Nyack, NY) and Penquin Rep (Stony Point, NY). A dedicated church-goer, Evelyn shared her amazing soprano voice with the choirs of St. Mary's in Pompton Lakes, NJ, St. Michael's in Fernandina Beach, FL as well as St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Goshen. Evelyn is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Patrick S. Glynn; daughters, Carol Lynne (Rosenhagen) Gremli and husband, Jack L. Gremli of Pearl River, NY and Bette Jean Rosenhagen of New York, NY; grandchildren: Jordan D. Gremli and wife, Cassandra Bowman, and Ana C. Gremli. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, all eight brothers and sisters, first husband, Donald J. Rosenhagen, her loving son, John S. Rosenhagen, and second husband, E. William Jewell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 14 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave., Goshen. Private burial will follow in Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes, NJ. Memorial donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist R.C.
