Gram, it has been one month since our final goodbye, yet 30 days later I still can’t quite manage my thoughts into words. Many years have passed, joys not shared, hearts broken, lives rebuilt, and relationships restored. Your little “blue bird” told me again of you and again I looked learning this time you had left this Earth. Quickly you were found, enabling those of us who could & would fulfill your final wish brought solace to those who loved you. You were truly loved and missed by more than you will ever know, they were there on that bitter Saturday morning, there were tears when last goodbyes were said. I am so very thankful that we visited for three days of uninterrupted time, our parting was inconsolable, your tears & mine, knowing that would be the last time we would see one another. I will no longer see your little “blue bird” no longer have panic racing through me. It is comforting to know you are now at Peace. You are my Grandmother and forever will be in my heart. “Que será, será Whatever will be, will be The future's not ours to see” Words I’ve heard from you since I was a child, words I’ve learned to live by.
