Roberta L. Rutherford, 76, of Walden, formerly of Goshen, died Friday, December 29, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY.
Roberta was born August 24, 1941 in Hillcrest, NY, the daughter of Melville and Viola (Carlson) Hujus. She retired as a teacher's aide from BOCES, Goshen, NY.
She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Laurice and husband John of Vernon, NJ; sons, Edward R. Gildersleeve and wife Teresa of Frederick, MD and Kenneth Gildersleeve of Walden, NY; brother, Fred Hujus and wife Ruth of Florida; 11 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her two beloved dogs, Lexi and Mia. Roberta was predeceased by her granddaughter, Denise; brother, William Hujus and sisters, Marilyn Vetter and Ada Malone.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 4 from 2 to 4 PM & 6 to 8 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
The funeral will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Funeral Home with the Reverend David Kingsley officiating.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
