Elmer G. "Steve" Stevens Jr., 66, of Campbell Hall, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Steve was born June 25, 1951 in Newburgh, NY, the son of the late Elmer G. Stevens Sr. and Edith (Smith) Stevens Graziano. Steve spent his career in Banking and Finance. He was a 43 year life member of the Otterkill Engine Company #1 in Campbell Hall, NY, where he served as Past President, 1st Lt. of the Fire Police, and was the recipient of the "Fireman of the Year" and the "Eric W. Kruger Memorial President's" awards. Steve also served on the Goshen Little League Board and was a softball coach; he was Past President of the Newburgh Kiwanis, a member of the Orange County Fire Police, and Past President of the Hamptonburgh CERT. Steve was an ordained Elder of the Presbyterian Church USA. Steve is survived by his devoted wife, Lori (Judson) Stevens at home, his loving daughter Jill Dawydko and husband Theo of Middletown, and his beloved son, Craig Stevens and wife Mary of Longmeadow, MA. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, who were the light of his life: Myles Dawydko, and Abigail and Aiden Stevens; his mother Edith (Stevens) Graziano and her husband Louis of Newburgh; a brother, Jack R. Stevens of Newburgh; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Morris (Mo) and Joyce Judson of Suffern, NY, Ronald and Jean Judson of Campbell Hall, NY, Jane and Robert Range of Washingtonville, NY and Beverly Clark of Chester, NY and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many cousins and his lifelong friend, Jeffrey Casaly of Inwood, West Virginia. Steve was predeceased by his father, and his two sisters, Kathy Stevens and Lynn Viebrock, and his mother and father-in-law, Morris (Tom) and Laura Judson. To our Steve and Dad "You were so strong over the last four years. You were an inspiration to so many because of your ability to adjust to your situation. We are going to miss you so much, but you will remain in our hearts forever. We know Gram and Pa will welcome you. We love you."- Lori, Jill, and Craig. Visitation will be Monday, September 25, 2017 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY, with a Fire Department service taking place at 7:45 PM. The Funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church in Goshen, 33 Park Place, Goshen, NY with the Reverend David Kingsley officiating. Burial will follow in Hamptonburgh Cemetery, Campbell Hall, NY.
