I have been a friend of Paul (Ewoud's son) for many years. My fondest memory of Ewoud was when Paul, his son Nathan and I stayed overnight for a couple nights when we were traveling back and forth to a conference in NH. We talked about the old country, looked at his books, and had some great discussions. Being in his house and experiencing his mannerisms and personality made it seem like you were in the Netherlands. I truly enjoyed it. Also his diligence to pray and to read the word of God stood out to me. I am sure he is rejoicing in the presence of his lord Jesus Christ.

I love the Dykshoorn family! Mr. Ewoud Dyskshoorn, though I didn't not know him as I know the family of his son Mr. Paul Dykshoorn, the testimony of the man he is, a man of God, shines through the generations of his children and grandchildren! I am blessed to know and love them and praying for comfort, peace, and hope in this season of grieving! Praise Jesus He has overcome!!
1 Thessalonians 4:
13 Now we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve like the rest who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also we believe that God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep as Christians

I have so many good memories of your father when he worked at the greenhouses for my grandfather and then my father. I remember he used to put us up on his shoulders and give us a ride from time to time. He was also a very hard worker, implementing a lot of my grandfathers landscaping designs. It is nice to remember good times, and I know he is with our Lord and the good times will now be never ending.
With sympathy and praying God's blessings on your family.
