Obituary of Margaret C. Heft

Margaret C. Heft, 70, of Goshen, died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at home. Margaret was born January 16, 1947 in Williamson, WV, the daughter of Jack and Gloria (Perrotta) Chafin. She was happily married for 50 years to John E. Heft, Sr. She was very proud of John. He served 3 ½ years in the US Army. John worked for IBM, American Express, Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. and Comdisco. Later he worked for the Village of Goshen the Town of Goshen, Gordon's Inc. (John Deere) and for 15 years at Pine Bush Equipment Co. He also spent 10 years as a pit crew member for Ron and Scott Goodrich Car #30. Margaret worked for National Bank of Westchester and was a homemaker taking care of her three children. She was a member of the Goshen Methodist Church. She is survived by her three children, John E. Heft, Jr. and wife Brandy of Matewan, WV and their three sons, John III, Luke and Mark Heft. Jack W. Heft and his daughter, Madeline and her 3 sons all of Slate Hill, NY, and daughter Rhonda Love Heft (Margaret's care giver) of Wurtsboro, NY; her brother, Jack Chafin, Jr. and family of Cape Cod, MA.; sister, Patty and husband Albert Frohilic; Late Robert Chafin (brother) and family of Stuart FL. Memorial visitation will be Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., Goshen, with the Service at 12:30 in the funeral home.
