My dear Eleanor,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
I didn't hear of Hal's passing until this afternoon and would certainly have come to the
wake and Mass if I had known. Hal was a dear sweet man, I always enjoyed being with
him and you too of course at the Veteran's luncheons. Just last month I told the VBOB's that I had seen you both and to keep Hal in thoughts and prayers. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
In the meantime take care of yourself and know that I am thinking of you and perhaps in another week or so Marie and I will come for a visit.
